Best Brand of Engine Mounts for an 2006 E320 CDI?

IMHO, the OEM MB engine mount/s aren't lasting over 2-years in their not ''flattening out,' and causing excessive sound & vibrations through the unibody, cabin, and steering column.
Does ANY brand even last over 2 years in their lifespan, is what I'm looking for.

I am curious were you able to tell who made the OEM mounts?

On my 84 300D it is Lemforder=Phoenix= the ones sold by Mercedes were all the same.

Another company that makes what was OEM stuff is SWAG. SWAG made the long timing chain tensioner rail that came out of my engine and also the replacement I bought.

Some wierdness. I did some looking on eBay and there is a company SVB that the seller claims made in Germany. There is a set a black one and white one and I also saw pics of 2 white ones.

Lemforder appears on eBay as well as CORETCO. The emborders cost more than the claimed OEM ones.

On your year and model should the transmission mount be changed along with the motor mounts?

If they still make them and the ones you have been using are liquid filled: the Creative Steel manufactures upgraded ELIMIVIBE® polyurethane engine mounts for the E320 CDI in the below may be interesting.

"AI Overview
For a 2006 Mercedes E320 CDI, Lemförder (Lemfoerder) is widely considered the best choice, as they are the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplier for Mercedes-Benz, offering the precise hydraulic damping required for the diesel engine.

Corteco is another high-quality OEM alternative.Top Recommendations:Best Overall (OEM): Lemförder engine mounts provide the smoothest ride and longest lifespan, often available through FCP Euro or Newparts.com.Premium

Durable Alternative: Creative Steel manufactures upgraded ELIMIVIBE® polyurethane engine mounts for the E320 CDI, designed to last longer than stock fluid-filled mounts without excessive vibration.

Budget OEM-Equivalent: Hamburg-Technic is often cited as a lower-cost option that still provides solid fitment, available on eBay."

OMG the creative steel ones are extremely expensive.

In this video it has that exhaust heat is what shortens the life.

I don't have a car as the OP does, so I have no idea what is under there. Maybe some other heat shield can be fabricated, or they used to sell exhaust pipe wrapping stuff to act as a heat shield.

Engine mounts have been a failure item for Mercs for many years. Ive had to replace them in every one I owned, from w126s, w124, w212.... my e550 and a buddy's glk350 in the last year or two. Glk was a pain...axles had to come out. Seems 75-100k is the lifespan, Id imagine a diesel also puts more stress on it due to constant higher NVH. I have always used febi bilstein or lemfoerder. Corteco mounts I used for my audi were not great, but fit. FCP lists Corteco as OE for a lot of models. I am not sure there is really a "good" one...

That is the reason I won't own a 4matic, especially considering the non serviceable front drive shaft design on those applications.

I'm sitting here wondering if the road conditions have something to do with the shorter life span. I don't remember ever changing them on the first '14 GLK350 and it is at 330k miles now. I'll have to look at them next time it is int he shop. The majority of those miles were on our very smooth Interstate 16 between Macon and Savannah.

BTDT, on the transmission mount, 2X.

Creative may be the way to go. Won't know unless they're tried.

There's ZERO REASON to own a 4X4, or, AWD vehicle, where it's never needed....
