What's happening to our traffic here?

Is it my imagination, or is the forum traffic decreasing?

Have I been so cantankerous as to scare everyone away?

What are the stats? I don't want to see this great site wane.

Have a great day,

We're still out there, Larry. The only person I've noticed not posting as much is Tom Cane. I don't know how you feel about it, but reading his posts is like reading a technical factory bulletin.

Senior members like yourself, Tom and Gilleybenztech have saved me a lot of time and money.

Thanks a bunch!

Summer

I know that I check it a little less during the summer, vacations, etc. I would expect things to pick up as we enter the fall/winter, starting problems, ACC problems, etc.

The other reason that I haven't posted alot is my car is running well, knock on wood, and there is such a narrow range of issues I can help with, LOL, and there haven't been any posts on those issues.

I'm still here

Allright then, I'll give it another try.

Actually, this forum has added more value to my experience with these cars than I would have imagined possible. This week I had a friend bring me an 81 TD that was performing poorly. I ran through the checklist of what to do to bring these cars up to peak performance. I also changed out the shift linkage bushing. The difference in the car is night and day. This is only possible because once I reach the limit on the names I can call a car part I have someplace to turn that actually has the answers. I have become an effective fix-it guy. Remarkable.

I have loads of stuff to do to both cars but it is simply to friggin HOT to think about getting under the hood or doing some interior work. Waiting for cool to get here.
I did have to get under the 300 to replace the tranny line yesterday. Not a hard job but not fun due to the heat.

mccan,

I can identify with your statement. Actually, I wish I could set up shop and make a living just messing with MB's. The industry I'm in is so pressured right now that most days I wish I could trade my job for a goat, then shoot the goat.

If there was any way I could make a living doing that I would hang out my shingle tomorrow.

Have a great day,

Mccan is right....

I have done things on my MB that I would have never tried before, and this website is the key reason why I have attempted these jobs and completed them successfully.

Actually mccan is not certifiable, but he definately a diesel fanatic and has a real affinity for Dunkin Donuts.

My two diesels are pretty much all fixed up and running great - so less need to scream for help here.

In fact, I've put enough time, money, blood, sweat and tears into the cars that the main thing I'm now concerned with is to avoid becoming one of those "look what hit me" posts.

My two deisels are about to get new timing chains. After reading the threads about these I guess it is time.
Thanks to all of you for your time spent here. And to mcan, just up your meds a little and you will get through these times ok.

Thanks for the suggestion on the meds. Fact is I've replaced all those pesky prescriptions and time consuming trips to the doctor with a liberal shot of diesel a couple times a day. My wife claims this is problem, but I just light another fart and return to my lair under the barge.

"deisel in your blood"

If your going that route don't forget to use Deisel Purge every so often. And be careful lighting up those back fires are hell. Charlie
