possible date and time?

October 19, Rockville, Maryland (just north of DC).

There is an exceptionally good antique car show here every year, if we would want to hold our "gathering" somewhere on the periphery of the show. It's held in a big park, weather is usually pleasant. Lots to see.

Going to start floating trial balloons to see what works for people...if only four or five people can make it, that would still be fine by me.

Another possibility, White Post Restorations in central Virginia...they're generally pretty receptive to tours on weekends, and there are a bunch of places nearby to grab a bite.

Other ideas for venues/dates?

White Post sounds great to me too! Who cares about the drive, I'd be making it in a Mercedes!!

Due to work and a wedding (not mine) I wouldn't be able to do any weekend in October except the first. Novemeber and December work, but don't let my schedule affect anything. Hopefully they're be a spring shin-dig too.

If you guys get together in the Baltimore area, I would make the drive from Philly. You might pull a bunch that were not able to make the NJ Shin-dig.

Richmond, yes

Being from Knotts Island 20 miles south of VA Beach proper I could and would attend a Richmond meet. Good idea.

Beastie you really don't want to talk to White Post

I spoke to them once about a car.
They won't even restore a car unless you are willing to spend $100,000.
Give them a call.

How about Colonial Williamsburg? That would be great for pictures.

What happened to the idea of October 19 in Rockville. If there is already a car show going on, then it seems like a great way to spend an afternoon (knowing there will be a large contingent of German diesels there). Does anyone out there know more about this show in Rockville, like time, location, etc.?
