I get my car back in two days!!!!

In two short days i will get my 83 300SD back. I've been up at school, and my parents said no car untill after thanksgiving. I will be sooo glad to have it back up here, reading through all the posts makes me miss my car....... Before it comes up it does need some work though, for example i need to replace the air filter mounts, shifter link bushings(any good tips other than soaking in water and making a press out of a bolt?). Also, my air conditioning konked out so i need to check into what's up with that. My radio fuse also keeps blowing, but i have a feeling i know why that is, once i install my subwoofers again that should stop blowing( There is a loose "automatic antenna" wire in the trunk used to turn on the amp). also going to try to change the oil and fuel filters. Ahh i can't wait!
Ryan

alright cool! My sister is bringing back the a/c recharge "guages" and i'm going to see first if it's just low on freon. When i bought the car over a year ago the a/c was the exact same, and i just recharged it and it blew cold for a year. Hopefully same deal now. I dont really need the a/c now, but it would be nice to not worry about my a/c compressor locking up due to lack of refrigerant. if it turns out it's something more than a simple recharge you'll be the first person i tell! thanks again,
Ryan

Just remember: if it is losing gas, it is also losing oil . I have changed out compressors that had NO oil in them-hence the replacement.
