This question will have a definate impact upon the final disposition of my 1985 300 d and what I plan to do with it.
The only way one can find out if a cylinder is dead is by pulling of the valve cover gasket and the head of the engine.A compression test as well as a exhaust leak check cannot determine a (as in one and only one) dead cylinder and its location.Thank you
