Pulling Hard Right

The 79 SD has started pulling hard to the right. How do I go about examining steering and suspension parts to identify what needs to be replaced? Thanks.

When my 75 started doing that the steering fell out. Yes, all of it. Damn thing was a rustbucket from hell
