'76 240d needs new sheet metal
Well today was a bad day, the 240d got into an accident. Everyone is ok but the front end is not a happy sight. I don't think there is any real structural damage but the hood, grill and pass. fender are history. I was wondering what years will work for donor parts?
Thanks, John |

Try K&K in Michigan...LOTS of quality repair sheet metal...
I'd also post your question on the vintage forum, and check the ads in the back of The Star.
Good luck! |

240Dude,
Parts from any 220D should fit. I replaced my rusted 240D fenders with ones from a 220D. 220 parts should be the same too. P E H |

I live in the SF bay area. There are a couple of pick and pull junk yards around me that usually have some mercedes in them. Most of the time they are 123s but when I was there two weeks ago there was an older 220. I can't remember if the body was any good since at the time it wasn't a priority.
Tonight, I'm going to start to take things apart to see exactly what I might need besides sheet metal and a bumper. Thanks for the advice. 240dude |

240D sheet metal
I have an extra hood and a pair of fenders, I'm in North Dakota, I can ship them to you if you want, they are both off a 75 240D.
Thanks. |
