Found what looks like a pretty nice SDL, don't know much about it except the interior looks almost perfect, no visible flaws, paint looks original, will need recoat soon but no dings. Showing 150k on odo. Asking price $7,500.00

I haven't bothered to find out any further info, partly because I don't know anything about this or any Ben'z model past 1985.

Does anyone have much experience with this model, looks like quite a sled.

Thats why I asked. What I didn't say before is that this car is sitting on a used lot. Probably not the way to buy a car that has even the slightest chance of being problematic.

Ya could get lucky ... offer them the evidence and see if you can get the price down some ... have them pay to have it checked out.

I still agonize over mine (145K now), but have learned to live with it ... it is SUCH a nice, quiet, comfortable car that gets good mileage ... easy to work on, too.

a couple of those diesel Rabbits ...40-45 mpg

But I need to concentrate on what I have laying around the drive way, like a '79 TD with a broken leg (rear strut).

I may keep an eye out for a really nice 300 SDL.
