Miscellanious Parts
I am looking for some miscellanious parts for my 76 300D. I know I can get pretty much anything for it throught the dealer, but who wants to pay those prices. What I need now is a fan shroud and the plastic lenses around the headlights. As I figure out what else I need, I will post.

Click on the link above marked "Fast Lane." They should have the shroud, and quite possibly the headlight bezels. If no luck, I can check out the condition of the shroud on the 75 240D in my yard.

Be sure to whack e-bay. Gotten most parts for my 300D there. Unless you need new, best bets are ebay, here, and junk yards.

Since you live in Seattle, you can also try Aurora Auto Wreckers
http://www.auroraaw.com/ Probably about the best selection of used Benz parts I've found in the area so far. BTW, see this: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?threadid=72037

Just as a heads up, the plastic bezel around the headlights are often called "doors". I don't know why. These are still made by Bosch, but of course new will cost alot more than used.

I contacted the good people at Aurora Auto Wrecking and will be going to inspect some parts tomorrow. According to their web site, they should have all the parts I need.
