Sprinter doing well.

Here's a message from the Yahoo Sprinter list:Subject:

Sprinter 290,000 miles in the US

Just to let you all know.
Our Sprinter is 2 years old now and we have covered over 290,000 miles.
We run for an expedite company out of Charlotte, NC. Nations Express. We
haul from 50lbs to 4,000lbs.
3 EGR Valves, Fan Blower,2 sets of brakes front and rear, 3 sets of tires(we
are averaging 90,000 miles per set), a new windscreen and 2 drag links.
There is a problem with the transmission not staying in gear we are going to
try a transmission flush hopefully this will cure the problem. We done this
at 80,000 miles and 180,000 miles the freightliner dealer thinks this will
help I will keep you all informed.
140" averaging 22mpg
Jim

My brother in-law bought a Sprinter from a Dodge dealer about a month ago. It even has a Dodge badge on it. He loves it. It gets 22 mpg. I saw it and drove it while I was over to his house for Thanksgiving dinner. The engine just shut down while I was going 60 mph. Had to pull over and restart it. It started right back up and I was on my way. He said that it has happened to him a couple of times. I told him to take it in pronto and get it taken care of.

Otherwise, nice...

If your brother likes MB's, there's an English chap on the Yahoo list who will sell him what he needs to rebadge it as an MB.

I thought I was the only one on here that is on that list. Here at school, we ahave a 3500 SHC and a 2500 SHC, both converted with paratransit packages.. they drive wonderfully.
