300D Overdrive problems

My 300d will not fully engage into overdrive? It sometimes will partially engage but as soon as I give it a little pedal it begins to slip. Any suggestions?

No overdrive, just 4th gear. If the tranny fluid is at the correct level, I'd guess the tranny is wearing out -- they tend to fail most often by refusing to shift up no matter how fast you go.

Have a transmission specialist look at it, but if it's slipping in 4th, it's time of a rebuilt one.

trans-x

At the suggestion of another on this forum I put some trans-x in the transmission today and whoa!! It smoothed out the shifting and now engages fully into 4th gear. I wouldnt have believed it as I am often skeptical of pour-in additives like that. Best $6 I have spent.
