Lost my High Beams, Fuse or Relay?
Noticed this AM that I lost my highbeams. Lowbeams still work fine. Is this a fuse or a relay. If a relay, where are they located?

Could be the combination switch. Do the passing lights work?

I lost the high and low beams awhile back. Passing lights worked, so I narrowed it down to the combination switch on the column. The switch is easily removed and I found a broken solder joint on the switch. Re-soldered the switch and it worked great after that.
Good luck.

Regarding passing lights (flash high beams) do not work either. I have to check the fuses but I don't recall anything different for high or low beams. I know on past BMW's there are relays for high and low beams that go out. Don't like the thought of working on the combination switch too much but....I guess I'll have to learn to like it.

F6, F7 & F9 along with the combination switch must all be working for the high beams to work both normally and in the flash mode. There are NO relays.
