380 SL seats same as 240/300D????

Anyone know if covers from a 380SL will fit the seats on a 300D? Aren't they pretty much the same? LMK ASAP!!!

they are COMPLETELY different. I have both an 380SL and a w123 and they are 100% different, even the spring set.

Damn. Well, I hope the covers I bought can be adapted to fit the 123, I sent the lady I bought them from a pic of my 123 seats and she says they look exactly the same as hers. Maybe she has a '70's or '80's SL?? Either that or I was just taken and that's the way it is.

tom i hate to tell you this but most likely they won't fit.

the covers are SO tight fitting that any adaptations seem to be impossible.

i just recovered my seats on my wagon. and i had a bear of a time getting the fitted ones on. i even tore them by accident in a few places.

if htey dont work out, id sell them on ebay or something.

good luck and let me know if you need any help.

check out my seat recovering post:

I bought a set of near perfect palimino mer tex seats on ebay for 50 bucks that were from an 85 TD I put one of them in the drivers side of my 81SD it bolted right to the SD seat frame.it sits about an inch higher than the original ,witch is fine by me and my wife love the extra height. There seem to be a lot of MB seats on Ebay that go for low prices I was the only bidder on mine.I think that shipping cost keep the bidding down I picked mine up as they were in Portland...........
