What does this mean??
Started my car up this morning, dashlights stayed on..opened up hood...none, not one of the belts are rotating??

Well, sounds like your crankshaft mounted pulley is not connected to the crankshaft anymore. What model car? Year? This is not a healthy condition and from prior posts, getting it back on can be a big deal. Good luck, Jim

worse..
I had this problem before and my mechanic told me good thing the camshaft didnt get striped otherwise, the engine may have to be pulled out to replace it...ouch!

Hi Troopavcl.
There are two alignment dowels in the balancer that connect it to the crankshaft. They most likely snapped in half,that is what happend to mine. Cheap and easy fix. Louis. |
