Can you check out a Laguna Beach 300d for me?

Hi,

I've made a tentative deal with a guy selling a 300d in Laguna Beach...can anyone take it on a quick drive for me asap and tell me what you think?

Please help this half frozen Alaskan and I'll buy you dinner and tell you incredible stories of the north!

Hey AK,

Good luck with that 300D. Best color there is my man! Wish I lived in SoCal so I could be all over it!

Let me know if she checks out as good I you think!

Thanks GoWolfPack

Its my wife's favorite color too...I hope it works out, lots of TLC necessary but rust free is worth a lot and I do have some free time to do the work!

I'll keep you posted, good luck in your search!

I too am looking for a 300cd. I won't be buying until around April, but I am curious if you will be driving up the highway or putting it on a boat?

I'd be interested in knowing the costs of the boat option if you have researched this yet. Perhaps FOB to Skagway.

Anyway good luck with the purchase -maybe you could wheel in for a coffee when passing through Whitehorse and show her off a bit.

Cheers

Heck, I'd detour to Maine to show off a little and drink coffee!

I have a friend heading north from Kalispell in a couple of days with an RV and I hope to be able to connect with him and caravan north.

If not, I think I'd drive anyway to save the pennies, but the jury is still out...I haven't driven the highway since 1992 and I've never driven north in the winter. Certainly an adventure!

It is around $800 for a car and driver from Bellingham to Skagway in the wintertime on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry. Winter fares end sometime around April or May.

I don't know much about shipping the car as freight...

I'll keep you posted!

Dog mushing wannabe eh? Going to Fairbanks for the Quest start?

I can't make it this year - but I'll be rooting along the trail and at the finish.

Cheers

I hope it works out for you. That car looks pretty good just from the pictures, but impossible to really tell from pictures. I get a good feeling about the seller, though. Keep us posted. Good luck.

I work in Laguna as a cop, so I have to be careful on how I do business, but let me tell you up front, any car that has been in Laguna for any length of time may be shot to ^&*(.

I know, as I've bought two here. The reason why is the beach air and the hills. It takes its toll.

Regardless, give me the info and a couple of days and I'll get back to you.
