Finally!

Now, this car (like ALL older MBZs) will need work to bring it up to MBshop standards. Time to get to work!

I would start with a major (B) service if you don't know when it was last done. Damn the cold- break out the tool box!

Yeah fahrgewehr2 it will take alittle time and money but it will be up to MS standards by April. My dad doesn't understand MS standards he's like just change the oil and drive it I already plan on doing all fluids and filters, cooling hoses, brakes, shocks, glowpugs, etc.

I hope Want isn't angry. I have not seen him around maybe I will shoot him an email latter. For the recored I did not buy this car out from under him. I fully intended to buy it Monday morning before I signed on to MS. I apologize Want, if you feel that way. Hopefully no hard feelings.

18 years old? Dang! Wish I even owned a car when I was 18 let alone have a driver's license LET ALONE have a Benz. Now don't crash it - i'd hate to have to pay your insurance premiums, dude. I take it, Daddy took care of the $$ side of things!

Thumbs up Congrats!

Cool! I just purchased an 87 300SDL a few weeks ago, and it's a great car. I have a few things to do to get it up to MBshop spec too. :p

Pictures?

I don't know if he is or not, but you won the auction fair and square, and it looked like you were the only bid. I was really just yanking your chain since he turned everyone on to it.

Enjoy your car.

Talking

Congrats!

With a minimum of care, you'll drive it till you're thirty. Or untill your first divorce. (Which ever comes first).

your first step is to take a picture of yourself standing next to your new benz and post it!

No, I'm not upset. My dad was really looking into it though, but he doesn't care for ebay for cars. He asked me today if someone herer may have bought it, I said "no, they didn't seem impressed with it", that was before I got on here and saw this. Congratulations, we weren't going to buy it because of the distance away from here. I guess you bid at the last moment? That's what my dad said when he watched it end. Let me know if you guys find any car similar in that price range though. Let me know how it goes,
Thanks
David

P.S.
I was in Washington D.C. for a school trip for the March for Life yesyerday. I was gone from Tuesday night until 4:00 this morning. My car didn't start! The car hardly turned over and I have Delvac 1 and new plugs, but the battery was dead. God bless MB road-side assistance. I met the guy there at 11:00 and we got it started. SOrry to change the subject though.

Want I'm glad to here that. Actually the ad didn't do it justice. It is really nice, and I believe was well taken care off. I opened the air filter houseing up expecting to see an old dirty filter, instead I found a brand new Heignst (sp?)! It looks like it just came out of the box! I looked at the cam threw the filler cap, it's real clean in there looks better than my Toyota! It fired up today with a marginal battary at 15 degrees! After sitting for 5 days. The block heater was not plugged in.
ps. 4 min before the auction ended!
