Following up on this similar issue, mine pegs around 2000-2500 RPM and warm idles around .8 Bar.

Cold idle is 3.0 bar pegged.

This is a 84 Diesel 280,000 miles running Mobil 1 10W-30 (P.S. Started using 10W-30 for the winter months and noticed lower pressure, previously warm idle was 1.4 bar on 15W50 synthetic)

It scares me to have it that low and not immediately peg until reaches 2000 RPM on a warm day on idle....should I just go back to using 15/50 (it never really gets that cold where I live).

No significant oil loss anywhere. Car runs good otherwise.

A mechanical gauge measured ZERO at the Oil sender when the car is ideling.
Just changed the OIL pump (very expensive) New timing belt tensioner and I still have the same problem.

At accelaration beyond 1000rpm the OIL pressure is 3.
I am worry about the ZERO reading at idle.

Please any one help
Thank you
I thought I wrote this when I read it as I have the exact same problem and also replaced the oil pump. I am going to do the o ring thingy and a new oil filter and sender, but I did notice something strange the other night. When I turned my headlights off,the oil pressure went up to 1 1/2 bar at idle. Turn them back on again and it dropped to zero. I think there is an electrical gremlin here somewhere.

Always pegged with under 60*c and 1100rpm above 82*c.
