Don't remember if I posted this before. It is not an MP3 of the engine screaming at redline, instead it is me playing with the engine of my 300SDL.

Right now I'm trying to make a movie with the 350SD. In fact I might be able to convert it to an MP3 to hear the 350 engine spooling up onto the highway, that way I won't need to take up so much space.

I will dust off my digital mechanics ear and hook it to my laptop.
I can get almost any sound, suspension, exhaust, transmission, differential, any electric motor, etc,etc.
The busy season has hit hard at work and my home remodel is not helping.

I think we have the start of a new great idea with the help of today's great technology. Whunter you have given us a great idea.
Those who have a lap top have the luxury of being able to record the wierd sounds our cars make and that can help diagnose the problem by making a link the the sound bite.
I wish I had a lap top....
