Tranny leak......

Looked under my car the other day while changing my engine shock and noticed a tranny leak.

It does not appear to be the gasket as it is new and sufficiently tight enough.

There is a plug on the drivers side that needs to be removed with a hex? socket that is tight.

There is also an electrical plug right behind that plug that appears to be the culprit.

Can anyone offer me some info as to the name of this part, and a possible solution? Is there an o-ring behind there?

I didn't want to open up a can of worms without checking with the guru's first.

Thanks

Is there a possible source for a tranny diagram?

It would be easy to pick out there. The only thing I see on parts lane that may be possible, judging by the looks, is the modulator valve.

Rick

Did you change the fluid, filter and gasket or is it the same one I put on when I last did the trans service?

If you did it, you have to be careful as I did this once and it leaked. When I torqued down the pan, part of the gasket got stuck and ripped it. Make sure the gasket is intact all the way around. As I recall, the rear main seal of the trans was replaced at around 220,000 miles so I wouldn't worry about that.

I changed the fluid filter and gasket right after I got it. It does not appear to be pinched or torn.

It is leaking from that part I described earlier.

Anyone have a diagram?

Thanks
