Has anybody seen OLIVOYL?
I live in the Central Coast area of California, work in Hollister and live in Watsonville.
Over State Route 152 (Hecker Pass) on the way home last night, I got behind a blue TD wagon with the license plate "OLIVOYL". Whoever has this car is no longer burning Diesel. There was no visible smoke behind the car, and the odor when the car accelerated remeinded me of the smell of the fuel used in the Cox .049 airplane engines from my younger days. Kind of a sweet edge to it. If anyone in the area has information about who the driver is and where they live, could you please let us know? I'd like to find out how the conversion was done, and more importantly where he/she is getting the fuel. There are lots of Diesel Mercedes cars in this area, we own two plus my Diesel truck- and with fuel prices at 1.89/9 at last fillup, we could all benefit from what is probably that inedible grade of olive oil that goes for less than a buck a gallon. I'll try to flag this car down next time I see it, and will pass along anything I learn.
