Rudolf Diesels B-day Party!
This from Boulder Biodiesel, those in the No. Colo area plan to attend!
============ March 18 is here and once again it's time to Celebrate Rudolph Diesel's Birthday - 146 years! In 1893, Rudy demonstrated his 10' long single stroke engine running on Peanut Oil and stated that "the use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today, but such oils may become, in the course of time, as important as petroleum and the coal-tar products of the present time." It is time to revive that vision. ...and there are many of us here that are. Please come and celebrate and join the festivities. We will have cake, some refreshments, music, and other surprises, and we will present the Golden Grease Awards for some of the outstanding community members. If you drive a diesel/biodiesel vehicle, please come to share your experiences. If you do not, please come to learn and share your stories. WHEN: Thursday, March 18 - 8pm WHERE: Odd Fellows Lounge (above Boulder Army Store on Pearl Street) If you can, please bring some snacks and drinks to share, and bring a small gift to be placed on Rudy's altar.

I think he'd be proud to see what's been done with his creation.
