It was a dark and stormy night..
And things went clatter in the dark..
I like this photo. I'm not sure why, I just.. Do. It does not do justice to the actual view. There was an extremly heavy, swirling fog last night here, and the headlights and fog lights on the 300D just had a beautiful pattern to them. Wish I had a real camera..

Wolf,
"Zen and the Art of Diesel" under your screen-name is very fitting for you I see! Sometimes there are times like that here in Meridian as well - just a picture perfect moment that is hard to describe and you simply have to be there to know what it's really like. My wife digs stuff like that and I get major points for making it a point to stop and enjoy them with her. |

I do find a zen-like peace I guess you could say in these old cars. My old VW diesels as well. It's times like pulling into a rest area at 4am for a nap before sunrise when you've been on the road twenty some odd hours and the car has not shut off once. You just pull in and kill the headlights, lock the doors and rest your head on the steering wheel or the window and feel the life in the motor, feel yourself in sync with it and the rest of the world does not matter very much. It's a goodness.(you grok?)
