oil filter
if i just want to change the filter, can i just drop in a new filter or should i pour oil in the filter housing?

Yes, you can just drop in the new filter. You'll have to add whatever oil came out with the old filter (maybe 1/3 quart?), but you can add that through the regular oil cap.
