Source for Biocide in Portland, Oregon area?

Anyone know where I can definitively get diesel fuel biocide/biostat in the Portland, Oregon metro area?

Places that DON'T have it (or don't know that they do):
GI Joe's
Baxter Auto Parts
Ag West
BrettHauer Oil
Hillsboro Diesel

I'd rather not order it online if I can get it locally. Anyone from the area know where I can get some? I'm going to start trying tractor and farm supply stores next.

West side or close-in SE or NE would be preferable, but anywhere would do.

Thanks!

Check at a boat store. Marine diesels are the ones that have to deal with algae all the time.

At my local NAPA they used to carry it(rural Portland). You might try one of the city stores.

West Marine on Hayden Island shows they have different varieties, at least on their web site.

Thanks for the tip!

Called NAPA, they asked if it was for horses... ummm?

Now you're really pushing it!

The only place I've seen Diesel Purge other than online was at the local M-B dealership.

Yeah that's what the local shops seem to think.

Can I put the Diesel Purge in the main fuel filter when changing it? It would save time pumping the primer pump and should clean things out a bit, no?

thanks!

It will save you time repriming, but you won't get very much cleaning benefit from it. For maximum cleaning, you have to follow the directions on the can and run it in a closed loop. Otherwise, you're returning most of it to the fuel tank pretty quickly.

Try your local plumbing supply store, they often carry biocide for use in home heating oil boiler fuel tanks.... at least ours does.

Gerry...

It seems to me I should be checking there first for just about anything.

They sold me the tiny springs that go bad in the locks on the 300d!

I'll call Sig.

I hope your title refers to racing and not to a fascination with Cher...not that there's anything wrong with that...
