hi guys,thanks alot for all your inputs, my wife not really happy with the ways i plan to bring CDI in my drive way,i think i better wait and hope somedays MB will legal sell it again in CA as the year 99,by the chance anybody knows when ?

Perhaps we'll see new MB diesels in CA in 2006, when ultra low sulpher diesel will reportedly be sold at every pump. By then, diesel manufacturers may also have some oft he NOx and particulate issues worked out.

I was reading an article in AutoWeek I believe, that mentioned urea injection was going to be used to lower the NOx so that the new CDI's would be legal nationwide.
The 2006 time frame sounds correct. I bought a car in FL using my in-laws address, drove it to PA with the temp tags, then applied for PA tags once I got the FL title. It cost about $100 I think, and I only paid sales tax once (to FL.)
