Did anyone get heated seats in an early 126? Curious where the switches went...
I picked up an old 126 sales brochure off ebay to go along with my 126 (just curious). It looks like heated seats were an option, but where were the switches placed? Above the A/C control or down on the shifter console?
Anyone have a pic they can post!?!?

The seat heaters were standard on the 500 SEL and the switches were located right where the console meets the dash. You should have a small storage well right below your ash tray since you don't have seat heaters. If you did, this area would have an elevation and the switches found there. The rear seat heater switches are found on the rear door where the window switch is located.
I would love to have had the heated seats on my 300 SD but I've never seen one that opted for them.

I added heated seat (it was a kit of four but I decided to just heat my seat ) to my w123 by using a kit I bought on eBay. Peyton300TD added all four seat heaters to his w123 as well. We just put the heating pad between the foam and the tex, heats up pretty quick but I've seen faster. None the less it is a very nice feature, quite nice when it was 0*F out and my CCU decided to quit.

If Mercedes had been real keen they could have designed the seat heaters so that when it was below about 5 Celsius they come on automatically like they did in my '72 Saab model 96 (R.I.P.) Start the car, no switch to worry about just warm seats in a flash.

While they didn't do that, they left an opening in the fuse panel to allow for it so just run the wire there and you have power with the ignition.
