W123 Cross Flow Radiator

Hi Everybody...

I just picked up my radiator from WIZARD COOLING and i really like it...i just thought i would share the look and the info...

all aluminum
cross flow
twin 1 inch tubes
mounts to oem locations
fan shroud mounted, slight modification to bottom of shroud
this one may be a bit wide for oil coolers and such, and pehaps too deep for oem set ups...but it only grew 1" thicker
will handle 300 hp 24/7/365 with ease

it is custom
Jake

Definately worth the extra $25 in my opinion. I would think they do a better job than the OEM also.

Hey Jake, What are you building there. That does not look like a stock engine installation. Nice custom Radiator.

Do you think they could do one for an SDL? I'd prefer not to pay $471 for another plastic radiator.

im sure that scott can take care of you...

he said that the summer is his busy season but anything is worth a shot...to build mine i dropped off the old radiator off at his shop and he built it to those specs...

check out his site at www.wizardcooling.com

BF,

What do you mean by cross flow? It looks like it has the tanks at the top and bottom like the original radiator.

Cross flow radiators have the tanks on each side of the radiator and the coolant flows horizontally from one side tank to the other.

Do you have pics of the complete car? I have a '78 Volvo with Ford power, so your swap intrigues me.

Thanks.

looks like you have done a good job

with that car. I would be interested in seeing a pic of the modifications you had to make to the cross member underneath the oil pan and the type of oil pan you are running.
thanks

you are right...i dont know what i was thinking when i wrote that up...this is a conventional set up, NOT A CROSS FLOW....wizard cooling makes most cross flows, we just installed one in a 68 chevelle and ive been thinking about getting one for my dads 68 mustang gt...so i guess they were on my mind a bit too much - sorry everybody...

jbhebert

i can dig some up and post them here....a whole lot of work was done this winter so ill have to see what i will post...

engatwork

sure i can share that...ill post some picts of the belly later....

BF,

Now if Wizard would just make an all brass and copper radiator, I might be interested.
