300SDL interior compatibilty with 420SEL

Greetings,

I need to replace the center pillar trim in my '86 SDL as a result of an ambitious puppy. I found the part on EBay but it is from an '87 420SEL. I assume the interiors are identical but I thought I would ask to be sure.
