Warning don't speed on I-95 in CT!!!

I know their are a lot of CT people here, so I'll warn you. The cops are making a big push to slow the highway down. They want to prove their point that accidents will decrese if people follow the speed limit. Do not go over 60-65 you will get a ticket!! I commute between Milford and Bridgport everyday, I see 3-4 cops every morning. Just to warn you guys.

Do not speed on I-95!

or on I-84 between the ct-mass line and hartford!
there have been major speed traps up there for years...
and they use unmarked cars a lot too.

This just started in the last two weeks, their used to be almost no cops on this stretch of 95, but now it doesn't matter what time I always pass at least two.

We have a lot of roads with 55 limit and light traffic I find it almost impossible to drive my Euro 500 SE at that speed and not easy in my SD.I think speed limits should be based on the make and condition of the car Hmmmmmm .......

I usually don't do more than 5-10 mph over the speed limit, but this weekend in ATL, I found myself doing 85 between B'ham and ATL in a 70 zone, although I was passing a long line of people doing 65, and doing about 70 on Camp Creek Parkway and Thornton Rd (55mph speed limits), although I slowed it down, I don't want any tickets this young, or at all really. The state and county cops were in FULL force on I-20 in Douglas County, GA on Saturday.

When i was driving home from North Dakota, I couldn't help but to speed through Montana:

1. There was a right hand drive Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (from Pennsylvania).

and

2. The road was so empty!!

I was doing 105-110 mph to catch up, then 85-90 mph pacing him and all this in a 98 ford windstar . Now i am a little more careful, but I still go 85

Revenue generation, pure and simple. I95 in CT looks like a road in downtown Baghdad. Funny how a state with so many wealthy people in it has some of the worst roads..... RT

speed

I drive to Colorado a few times a year and try to average 85 to 90 through South Dakota and Nebraska. I have found that Nebraska is a beautiful state if you drive through Valentine to North Platte. There are very few police around, except around the town of Valentine. At that speed I average 24 Mpg with my 350 SDL. I don't care what people say about that 350 diesel engine I think it is the greatest diesel I have driven and I have had very few problems.

rwthomas1, that's because through the diligent effort of our politicians, they have squandered huge sums of taxpayer funds in exchange for cash, gifts and services of preadolescents in a multifaceted and ultimately successful attempt to wrest the thorny crown of corruption from the great State of Rhode Island

rwthomas1 I am reminded of that every day as a bounce over the worst highway in the country. Their is always a truck crashing and shutting down traffic. Also every time there is a cop sitting on the side of the road people for some reason are afraid to drive faster than 40. I hate I-95 my car hates doing 55-60 to, I could swear my mileage is better at 75-80, the 603 just does not like idleing around.
