In stock configuration you may notice a drop in fuel economy as diesels prefer heated charge for volumetric efficiency ratings and volatility of the fuel. 1) what data do you have that says adding fuel to a cool charge adds HP? a heated charge is actually less air, because cool air is more dense than hot air. Think of hot air balloons
2) If an intercooler only adds a bit of performance as you claim, why would MB be putting intercoolers on new turbo diesels including the W210 diesels, the diesel G-wagon, the W208 CLK, the CDI diesels, heavy duty diesel trucks, and gas engines with turbos as well? Intercoolers are a worth while addition to a turbo anything.
I suggest adding anything besides Nitro or water injection is a waste
and will only make smoke.
