That being said, K&Ns don't filter as well as paaper elements, but if you're ok with dirt contamination then I'm not going to stop you (it's not my car)

You will need larger elements in the pump for more fuel. Usually around $1500, mail it to Dieselmenken or Myna out in finland.

If you want 500hp, find a turbo 606 (years 98-99 in the US)

You're on your own for a better exhaust manifold-I'd buy some 'weld els' and get welding. For a turbo there are a million options-I'd get the big pump first.
I thought I read 4 - 500 hp maximum for the OM603. But it's really stressed at the upper end, and screaming out the revs. I think the rods were the limiting factor at the 400 + hp range? IDK...And the 24-valve can flow a lot better, I guess. Plenty of 603's putting out 350 + hp overseas from what I've seen and heard. Stock internals. But big BIG numbers are from Turbo 606's. Get one while you can!! But the 12V-er does alright. How much power do you need? And where are you going to use it, anyway?

I wonder what was done to this little gem. Dang man, THAT'S some power for ya! Ha ha ha!! Cool! vvv
