Poke me if you're serious about making up a 606 tubular header-I can hook a brother up with a flange if there's demand.
Ya the 606 manifold is a NiCr or Ni Resist material so welding to it shouldn't be too bad i'm assuming. I've got my mind pretty made up about building a proper header. I will still keep the OE manifold in case there is some overwhelming urgency to get it driveable. For the cost of the nickel rod, a proper flange and time & money, i'd rather just go fourth with the header and it will be what it wants & needs and I wont have to tear into it again down the road. I think I may have a flange sourced form TurboTim on STD forums, a 1/2" thick stainless unit but would be open to see what you have brewing cost wise. I'd like to stick with 1/2 stainless construction. The rest of the header will be Tig'ed 304L, all mandrel bent, all stainless construction. I need to make a press mandrel for forming the oval port transitions too. If you have a source, what would be really trick is having someone cut me out a main girdle plate! I have a dimension drawing shared by someone on STD for a 605 so I would need to add +1 more bore space. I have an local outfit that can waterjet things but they are proud of it for what they charge for time. I want this sucker overbuilt, better overbuilt and some margin than under built and blown up

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!
