WTB: MB 1500 and under in NJ/PA/MD

Long time lurker and avid MB enthusiast...former owner as well...

I'm looking for an MB that will run and drive well but that might need some work...

Mileage isn't terribly important...I'm open to various models...just has to run and drive well...looking to start a moderate sized project...

Let me know what you have.

Thanks!

I'll keep my eye out if I pass by something around here - nothing for sale from me at the moment unfortunately

Check out the York PA craigslist. There s an '86 190E and heis asking $1800... lowest he can do is $1500. Not perfect but really a very clean car. Only rust I saw was the passenger front jack point. Was white but repainted red in the past sometime. Looks like it was in an accident many years ago as the drivers front inner panel was replaced. Runs real good but the main cooling fan clutch is bad, owner may fix that before selling it. Interior is real clean. Could use tires, one is new. Inspection good until 2-11. Drove nice on the highway, no pulling. Feels like a wheel is a bit out of balance but not bad. Suspension felt nice and tight. Brakes feel great no pulling or pulsation. Overall real nice car for the money.

I have an 87 300SDL I'm either going to sell out right or part out. The injection pump is bad. I went for about 200 gallons not knowing my veggie oil was contaminated with water. #1 supply line in the pump is no good. Otherwise the car is solid. 300,000 miles.

If you're comfortable with that repair drop me a line.

Thanks,
Bill

I have a 603 injection pump sitting on the shelf. It came off of the 300SDL parts car last summer.
