'70 280SE and '70 280SL for sale
Still have both 1970 cars for sale. Haven't been advertising them and have been bouncing back and forth on whether or not I'm going to restore the 280SL or sell it. The 280SE in the meantime is sitting in storage in Cincinnati. Again, a quick rundown of both cars:
280SE: DB268 Dark Green with Palomino MB-Tex. NO rust, refinished in the original color. Engine rebuilt top to bottom, new tires, brakes, exhaust, weatherstripping, windshield, etc...etc...All records since I took ownership. Four speed automatic w/column shift. Factory A/C and power windows. Also equipped with correct "bundt cake" alloy wheels which became an official factory option in 1970. Asking $5,000. 280SL: DB423 Tobacco Brown with Palomino MB-Tex. New items include tires, a full brake job (calipers, hoses, pads, rotors), new tan convertible top and a new Ansa exhaust system. The car is in overall good shape, typical rust in floorboard areas. 4 speed automatic shifts fine. Becker Europa radio. Bought it last September, ran it in a rally in October and on the way home, the oil pump failed, wiping out a main bearing as the result. Definitely worth a restoration! Asking $6,000. The 280SE, as I said is in Cincinnati and the 280SL is in Mansfield, Ohio which is about 75 miles north of Columbus. The SL will have to be flatbedded to it's destination.
