Having trouble loading pics. This one shows the clear coat lifting. The tailgate was repainted by a person who did not take care to respect the base paint so sanded a bit too much.

Careful sanding to remove the clear coat and application of rust binder and primer and a careful masking job before applying a paint which will not attack the base paint should make this top of the tailgate look very good.

I failed to capture the interior photos in my pathetic picture taking but did look it over. I found a fuzzy place at the outside bottom drivers seat but no stains or tears. The interior wood looks very nice.

This is a fine example of a rare 124 diesel with euro spec drive train. The non turbo takes a while to wind up but once up to speed it will cruise at any reasonable speed you like.

It has the old simple and rugged four speed automatic.

I will take any reasonable offer. I think around $7,500.

So, where is this for sale??

Is this the car that was on bringatrailer? If so, why not fix clearcoat issue and put it back on there? It will bring at least what it then sold for... If it is that one, it would bring at least the 7500 in Europe. I would say 12500 minimum.

Yes. l have been pondering doing a light repair myself. I have not used clear coat before though. The damage is limited to the top of the tailgate. I believe it will be not so noticeable because of where it is. How do I reach the euro market?

there's several websites for Europe, however I'd stick to the US (Definitely Bringatrailer) market. It will show it was sold on BAT before when you list it, it will bring a similar if not higher amount.

255k miles estimate actually showing 350,000 on euro speedo.

How about $7,250

I'll get the grandson over to help me with the pics.

Sold!

Accepted a stupendous pile of cash in tens, twenties fifties and only one 100 dollar bill (which I took directly to the bank)..

When someone wants to pay in cash it would be a good idea to avoid bills less than 50. it took a half an hour to count it all.

another thing to be aware of, if receiving a lot of cash in 100's (or any high denomination) is to have them meet you at your bank and have the bank run the bills through their electronic counter machine, its fast and will kick out any bills that don't meet the test for counterfits. I doubt small bills are counterfit but these days its hard to know. Supposedly the Iranians printed counterfit US money into the many millions of Dollars using equipment that made it really hard to visually detect the anomaly.

Thanks for your comments. These bills all looked suitably worn and dirty. I took them to the bank and had them run through the counter.

OK, well my BIL sold the '99 Turbodiesel I sold him for $1 some 5 years ago. He and his daughter drove it and put nearly 100K on it but he complained of having to add oil every 500 miles, not bad considering it has over 317K on it.
The buyer paid the asking price of $1500 for it using new $100 bills which we accepted at face value (they went thru the bank machine later without a hitch). I trusted him, said he owned a shop across the Bay and he was driving a '99 300D turbo also (it looked a lot better than the one we sold him).
