Does anyone know of a successful supercharging mod of a M103 engine?

never heard of a supercharger kit as the M103's can be a bit lacking in bottom end torque. Have heard of more than a few turbo and twin-turbo kits that get the output near 300HP on stock compression. (which means relatively low boost) Don't know what those kits did to the rest of the drivetrain but the factory upgraded nearly everything for the 400E then similarly beefed it up again for the 500E so I'd expect a kit to "eat" any borderline driveline parts.
For the cash you may be better served to pick up a stock 500E, E420, or get a 400E/E420 and swap the 2.24 diff for a 3.xx. Hope this helps...Lee |
