I just put on 16" monoblocks on the rear and left my 15" 8 hole wheels on front because one of the monoblocks is being rechromed, and was wondering about lowering the car some. I have noticed that the front looks fine but the back still has a gap that I want to close somewhat. What is a way to go that will not cost an arm and leg to lower the car, perhaps an 1"? Will the ride be affected?

bc.., do a search on this forum for 'spring pads'. You may be able to get what you want by changing your spring pads depending on what pads you have on right now. The cost is next to nothing. Hope this helps.
