500E Half-shaft differences?

I can't find it, but I assume the 500e half shaft/axle shaft, drive axle whatever is bigger than the other 124's but would bolt up just the same. Because of the extra power and "stuff" I'll be putting on and the necessity to drop them and replace the CV's and Diff. anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if the 500E has bigger half shafts or knows the limits of the stock 300CE ones? Thanks.

i have HEARD that a e420 and e500 w124 have a bigger diff than a 300E/CE/TE, and therefore SHORTER half shafts. (also because of ASD, which makes the diff wider.)

Contact the Finnish connection, they may know more (Mauri I believe)

Thanks I'll try that. I thought the CE was a bigger one, and the one I'm getting is actually a 129 part number, but I suppose it could be the same thing in that it isnt a V8.
