Message for M.B. Doc

M.B. Doc,

In a previous thread, you made mention that you had access to a Euro parts fiche. I was hoping you could help me out with a part number I'm tracking. I only have the US parts fiche of the W124.034/.036.

I need the euro part number equivalent of US part number 124 750 03 37. It called the "ornamental cover on rear lid."

Here's an image of the appropriate slide (D 04) from the fiche. It's referenced as part # 134 on the illustration.

here's a link to a larger picture in case it's fuzzy http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid26/pd60a64db1e4f498b2bd921093566e0c6/fe49c074.gif.orig.gif

And here's a picture of the actual part I'm trying to track down. It's the panel between the two tail lamps. I understand it's a plastic panel. It's the one with the sticker of the flag.

I believe the part above is for 91-93s. If you have a part number for the 94/95s as well, that would be doubly great!

Many thanks!

I think you should be able to walk up to the dealer and ask then for the part.

Yal,

Thanks for the reply. I did go the the dealer but they couldn't ven locate the part number. They say there was no euro match for that US part.

Remember, I am looking for a euro equivalent (with a wider space for the plates) I already have the US part, which I want to replace.

Oh, sorry about that. Try emailing MBenz...he is in Europe and he is quite handy with taking apart his Benzes, the part people over there know him by name

Rainmaker,
Are you sure you don't already have the Euro panel?
Here's a picture of a U.S. spec panel:

It appears to have a narrower plate opening than yours:

Yal, thanks, I'll do that.

Glenn, that isn't a pic of my car. That's a pic of a euro ebay being sold on ebay (auction closed, reserve not met). And that is the part that I need!

There's a thread started by ~fad about it on the hot rod section.

My panel is the same as that on the top picture. It's a canadian spec 500E.

I like those tailpipes, though. Any clue as to who manufactures them? I always thought that E500/500Es deserve a better tailpipe than what they have on there.

The search continues...
