500e rads
have any of you guys(or girls)used a nissen rad as a replacement,and if so were you happy with it.
fastlane sells the two types (berh and nissen)with a price diff of about $200.also does the nissen have the necks metal sleeved? any input would be a great help

I have just put a nissen into my 560SEL and from what I can see it is a very well crafted unit. My repairer said that it had the reinforced necks. The guys at fastlane recommend them as well.

No I haven't but my cooling system was working well before hand. What caused me to replace my radiator wasn't affecting the cooling ability.

thanks mattman,
i dont have an overheating problem,just a brittle neck. i think ill go with the sleeved neck,only because i dont want to have that problem again.

When I said reinforced I meant sleeved - the Nissen is a good unit and a lot cheaper than the OEM unit. Check with Phil on Fastlane, he says they are good.
