your best option is to have a custom system bent and welded. eliminate the cats and precats if you are comfortable with that and your local regulations allow. eliminate the mid-muffler. buy a stainless steel universal straight through muffler that fits in the old muffler spot that has the type of tip you want. have a 2.5" stainless steel pipe welded to the "Y" pipe and have it run straight back on the driver's side of the car to the muffler. you'll pick up a noticeable amount of torque. this will be louder than stock of course. you can select a different type of muffler for quieter running. doing it this way will be much cheaper than buying a vehicle specific system from Timevalve, Remus, etc.

Pat: Check out what I did for my 190, cost me less than $300 including the muffler, paint and new pipe from the cat.
I really like the sound and the increase in low end torque! |
