I am looking for a good conversion candidate for an electric conversion project, and I have come across a solid 1999 CLK 430.


This thing is (so far) checking all the boxes: not rusty, RWD, rugged, chassis parts reasonably priced. The particular car looks OK from the pictures.


I would be pulling out the V8 and automatic transmission, and putting in an electric motor mated to a manual transmission (no clutch).


How much does the CLK's V8 weigh?
