Porsche Injectors for 16V???

Rumor has been going around that there are Porsche fuel injectors that can be used in the 16V that will help performance. Does anyone know about this or have some information on the subject? If injectors that put out more fuel were used, would they actually be able to make more power on their own, or do they need a proportional amount more air into the mixture also?

I found on an old thread about RC Engineering which sells performance injectors, but you need lots of info about the injectors that I don't know. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks for the help,
Giancarlo

Well, here's the deal. Keep in mind that the amount of fuel needed is directly related to how much air the engine is ingesting. The only reason to install bigger injectors is if the current ones can't flow enough fuel to keep the mixture correct. The stock 16V fuel system can flow enough fuel to support more than 260HP as is demonstrated by the Mosselman turbo kit, which produces 260HP on the stock fuel system without any problems. I'm not sure what the stock system's ultimate limit is, but I'll bet it's quite high. So, installing higher flow injectors won't do you any good unless you are somehow feeding enough air to get over 250 or 300HP (ie. Turbo).

Well, that's my 2 cents!

Later,
