Where to buy replacement vanity mirror?

Anyone know where to buy a replacement for the vanity mirror on the back of the sunflaps? The plastic door broke off, and I am hoping that just the plastic vanity mirror enclosure can be replaced, instead of the entire sunflap.

Also how does this plastic enclosure come out?

Well, it is one piece, you have to purchase the entire visor unit. Dealer quoted $275 !!

Anyone?

A dealership in Dallas Texas called Park Place Motors sold me just the mirror insert with door. Cost was about $95, Doc.

Even though it is crazy to pay $95 for a piece of plastic and mirror, I would have no problem paying that. Was it hard to remove the old one and put the new one in? After looking at it I cannot figure out how to do it.

I guess I should just keep calling dealerships until I find the part, but I did look at the computer with the parts guy at my dealer and it only showed the entire visor in the parts screen.

The mirror assembly snaps into place. There is a catch at each corner and one in the middle of the edge opposite the hinge. When you pry your old one out you'll see.

Go to www.thedriverscorner.com. They have the insert for $94.95. Tell them bobterry99 told you to ask for your 10% BenzWorld discount.

Any chance I could get that dealerships name and number? I have not had any luck anywhere and was hoping to call and order.

Try this link:
http://www.thedriverscorner.com/MercedesSLParts.htm

I've actually been trying to get a hold of them for a few days regarding a parts inquiry (their website has some really nice interior wood pieces) but have had no luck though.

The dealer is Legend Automotive in Columbia Missouri 573 875-5000. If it is any help the part number for my 95 SL500 is A12981023 17 7101. Of course it is color specific to the car interior. I took the mirror out and took it to the dealer and the computer showed the part.
