What colors were available for 88 560SL?

I have the opportunity to purchase a one-owner 560SL with 65k miles on it from a friend of my father's. I plan to re-sell the car.

It's a one-owner vehicle, but the owner describes the paint as a "robin's egg blue" which I don't believe was offered during that time. I'm thinking that he may have it confused with "Diamond Blue Metallic" (which is an attractive color). Does anyone have a resource they can point me to that would show me the colors available on an SL during 1988?

The owner is planning on either trading it in at the Naples, FL dealership (since it is now in Florida) or bringing it back here to Cincinnati (where the hardtop is stored). I've been researching trade-in values to try to give him a fair price (especially if he has to bring it up here).

I find that trade-in values for these cars are in the 10-12k range, while the sites list private sale around 16-17k.

Any other SL pricing sites that I am missing out on? One other thing, I won't have the car until around Thanksgiving so will have to sit on it until springtime as nobody buys an SL here during the snowy season.

I'm thinking of offering hime 10k delivered to Cincy take it or leave it. I will have the cash tied up for 4-5 months and am sure that the car will require a few hundred bucks to bring to service completely up to date and I figure that the car could probably stand a new set of tires (could be wrong on that).

Whay say you on the matter?

Thanks!
