Question Seats for 380 SL

I am thinking about replacing the seats in my 83 380sl. They are not in a bad shape at all but I guess I have been spoiled by Toyota and Honda seats over the last years. They are far more comfortable and offer more sidesupport than the stock MB seats. I know it's not easy to install different seats but I've done it before to other cars and trucks. What I like to know is if someone has done that to his SL and which seats were used, or which seats have dimensions close to the stock seats.

I would start with the 560 Sl seats, I don't know if they will bolt right in, but they do have more support.

The Recaro seats in my Porsche were the most comfortable car seats I ever experienced. They sell aftermarket kits for all kinds of cars, you might want to check into them. They are German made as well. I've actually given some thought to doing that myself. Porsche installed the Ergomed model stock in all 944s and 928s, there is another called Orthoped that I am thinking of plugging into my 280 SL to help my tired old fat ass. If you google "RECARO" you'll get their homesite and a bunch of dealers. A lot of speedshops carry them and will special order them for you. I bet they bolt right in, seeing how SLs would have been one of their target markets back in Germany.
