ac/heat temp

hey all,

1988 560SL 81k miles.

my problem is I cant control the heat temp. it only comes out very hot. AC works fine. What should I look to have fixed?

I have same problem on my 450 sl 1977 (with manual a/c) I think that it is a flap (vacumn) problem behind dash. I live with mine (shut when too hot, turn on when needed) Could be a disconnected wire or rod loose on adjustable flap. Hope someone who knows these cars can help with advice. at least I hope I steered you in right direction. good luck, Abe G

LOL, Thanks Abe. I have been shutting it on and off too! maybe by the spring Ill take it in and have it looked for.
