Looking for '80 450SL parts list and retailer info

Good afternoon!

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, a parts list for a 1980 450sl? I'm looking for some of the more obscure parts that I don't specifically know the names of, so I'm trying to find some way to identify them and then find them to buy. I have the MBZ service manual, but that doesn't seem to help that much.

Also, with that in mind, where is a good place to get replacement parts, panels, etc online? Again, some of the things I'm looking for are not the most common replacements parts.

Thanks!

I have a "Crash Book" that I purchased awhile ago that lists the part numbers for Mercedes 107's.....mostly body and trim parts (interior and exterior), but also some obscure parts. What parts are you looking for?
I keep an eye on eBay for those hard to find parts. More often than not, the part I'm looking for comes up for bid.

Neil,

I don't have the entire list yet (right now its just one by one as I go through the car), but for example I am looking for the panel that goes beneath the glove box and the metal door catch (that holds the door closed) on the body of the car.

Where did you get your book?

Mercedes at one time supplied illustrated parts books with their vehicles. The old ones had black covers and had about 6 x 8 inch pages. Although there were no part numbers listed, the diagrams were valuable when ordering parts. I have seen these books from time to time on Ebay - they might even still be available at the dealers.
Other items that come up occasionally are parts microfiche that the dealers used before going to the EPC electronic parts catalog. These are very handy when doing a restoration.

www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb.asp, click on cars then your model #.
There should be an underline between oem and mb. Don't know why this
site won't post it.

Parts

I have many 107 parts available as I am parting out a 1972 450SL. I am using some of the parts to restore my '73, but many parts will not be needed by me.
