80 450sl sway link install

I need to install a sway link on the pass. rear sway bar. I have the wheel off and it looks like I am going to need the hub off too. On the hub do I just remove the center bolt to remove it? And is it standard thread or left hand. Thanks Michael

You do not have to remove the hub. I just did mine on an '80 slc. Take the wheel off, stick your head behind the hub and remove the top and bottom nuts from the link. 30 minute job tops, start to finish. Do both sides as they usually wear evenly.
