Wiper Blade Follies

My 85 380SL came with black aftermarket blades (yecch) and I wanted the originals. I got a used set to clean up and reload, and I think they were meant to be 19" on the RH and 18" on the LH. On my '86, however, I think that both are 19", and the LH blade extends about 3/4" inch over the window trim. This can't be right - but if you look in the Performance Products catalog, it shows 86+ wiper blades being identical, whereas previous years have a different LH and RH side. Does anyone know why?
